![]() Utilize reflective practices to improve instructional approaches and adapt to changes in learning methods.Participate in teacher-based teams to analyze data and adapt instruction to impact student learning.Research and utilize best practices to improve instruction.Use student data from formative and summative assessments to plan instructional delivery.Select, develop, and use a variety of formative assessments to drive changes to instruction and ensure student learning.Work cooperatively with OEC staff, transition to work coordinator, Speech and Language Pathologist, Psychologist, Physical and Occupational Therapist.Complete appropriate student referral forms for possible assessment, as needed.Ensure the learning process is guided toward the general curriculum, Apply the information in the student’s IEP to prepare and implement daily lesson plans. Employ the requisite components and information necessary to provide an Individualized Educational Program (IEP) for each student consistent with mandated requirements.Accountable to the OEC Executive Director for compliance with directives of the Superintendent and/or his or her designee and is under the district wide supervision of the Associate Director.Comply with all Federal mandates as they apply to students with disabilities. Perform all assigned duties according to the policies, rules, and regulations of the Dayton Board of Education and the Ohio Department of Education/Special Education Division.Submit IEP with all required documents outlined in the checklist with original signatures to the OEC Building Manager within 48 hours of the meeting.Provide copies of IEP to parents at the meeting and a PWN to within 3 days of meetings.Send parents a draft of the IEP 2 weeks prior to the meeting (Sections 1-6 only).Document parent communication for meetings on “Documentation of Attempts” in Samegoal.(Parents must have an invitation created in Samegoal as part of the IEP. Send Notice of IEP Team Meeting to ALL invited members.Maintain the confidentiality of students and their families.Monitors IEP and evaluation due dates, numbers of student suspensions, dates to implement transition plans and transfers of rights, and completion of all required paperwork.Maintains building database of student IEP and evaluation dates.Disseminates and collects classroom teacher forms needed for Individual Education Plans (IEPs) to classroom teachers.Contact parents to schedule IEP meetings.Elicits parent input for IEPs or evaluations. ![]() SALARY: $33.14 per hour (up to 4 hours for each IEP written) In partnership with the Office for Exceptional Children and in collaboration with outside agencies/schools, plan and organize and write Individualized Educational Plans for students.
